Rabali Stadium is expected to be packed to capacity on Saturday when Mpheni Defenders host Munaca FC in their ABC Motsepe League match.
Mpheni Defenders and Munaca are both looking to rebound after losing their matches last weekend. Munaca suffered a 3-2 defeat to Musina United, while Defenders were beaten 2-1 by Nkowankowa Continentals at the Nkowankowa Stadium outside Tzaneen.
This was the first defeat of the season for both Defenders and Munaca, who had previously been at the top of the league log.
Vondwe XI Bullets will face Tlhotlhokwe Golden Syrup at the Makonde Stadium. Bullets have yet to lose a league match at home. They were held to a goalless draw by United Artists at Thohoyandou Stadium last Sunday, while Golden Syrup lost 2-1 to Maruleng Celtic. The combination of Mulamuleli “Matari” Netshidzivhe, Phathutshedzo Nemagovhani, and Talifhani Manyage is expected to keep Golden Syrup’s defenders under pressure throughout the game.
After playing two consecutive home matches, Musina United will hit the road this Saturday. They will travel to Mankoko Stadium in Hoedspruit, where they will face Maruleng Celtic. Black Leopards will host United Artists at the Polokwane Training Centre. United Artists remain unbeaten in the league so far.
The Tzaneen derby between Winners Park and Nkowankowa Continentals will take place at Westfalia Stadium outside Tzaneen. Other fixtures include White Vultures vs. Tzaneen United, Sunrise FC vs. Mohlabile United, The Dolphins FC vs. Mighty FC, Tubatse United vs. Lebash Football Academy, and Royal Pirates vs. Mokopane PJ Stars.
