To support local motor mechanics, spares shops, and panel beaters in and around Thohoyandou, the global energy company Shell hosted an information session and workshop at the Mutale Complex in Thohoyandou Block G on Wednesday, 30 October.
The function, presented by Shell’s Limpopo North Lubricants Distributors, offered existing and potential customers the opportunity to learn more about lubricants.
The managing director of Shell’s Limpopo North Distributors, Prince Sadiki, said they supplied Shell products to a wide range of industries, serving customers from bush mechanics to spares distributors and farmers. He noted that they have been operating from their new store in Thohoyandou for nearly two years, during which time they have built a very loyal customer base.
Sadiki said the information sessions provided an ideal opportunity for customers to understand the different types of lubricants and their appropriate uses. “We've identified a critical need for in-depth knowledge on oils to optimise the performance and longevity of cars, equipment, and machinery. Tonight, our Shell technical desk experts will guide you through the dos and don'ts of lubricant selection, application, and maintenance,” said Sadiki.
He added that they were proud to have partnered with Shell over the past two years, delivering top-quality oils that protect engines and lubricants that extend equipment lifespans.
“As we move forward, I invite you to join us on this journey of growing our businesses together. It's time for us, as African entrepreneurs, to unite, support, and empower each other. Following tonight's presentation, our team will be available to listen to your concerns, discuss your lubricant needs, and explore opportunities for collaboration,” Sadiki said.
One of the well-known panel beaters from the Vhembe region, Mr Aubrey Mulaudzi of Aubs Motors in Tshisaulu village, said the knowledge-sharing and networking session was both exciting and informative. He added that it would definitely benefit the customers who had attended the function.
