Dr Muremela gives valuable advice on anger in his new book

Read: 295

If you struggle to control your anger, a well-known medical practitioner in Thohoyandou, Dr Lutendo Samson Muremela, may have the answers you have been looking for. He has published a book titled Words of Wisdom on Anger, which he believes will provide valuable advice.

Dr Muremela, a general practitioner, said the chapters in the book were filled with insights aimed at raising awareness about anger management. He noted that anger is a normal human emotion and is controllable. The problem arises when anger gets out of control and becomes destructive, leading to problems at work, at home, and negatively impacting overall quality of life.

"Anger can make you feel as though you're at the mercy of an unpredictable and powerful emotion, but this book will teach you how to control it. Many people have destroyed their relationships, careers, and even killed loved ones due to uncontrolled anger," said Dr Muremela.

He emphasised that anger is an emotion experienced by everyone, but the difference lies in how individuals respond to it. "People seldom speak about anger management and taking charge of emotions, because anger is undeniably a force many still struggle to control," he said.

In his book, he aims to teach people how to manage their anger. "Controlling your anger is a learned behaviour, just like learning to cook or drive a car. Learn to control anger before it controls you," he added.

Dr Muremela has published several books, including Living a Healthy Life (2019), Why Men Die Younger (2020), Women’s Health (2021), Fundamental Truth of Success in Life (2023), and Common Questions Young People Ask (2024).

The book was published by Dr Muremela and edited by Dr Israel Mulaudzi.
