The well-known local artist Cyria Tshipetane, also known as “Cyria The Community,” is calling on all lovers of her music to purchase tickets and enjoy the vibe at the 10th Phalaphala FM Royal Heritage Festival, taking place at the Nandoni Royal Gardens on Saturday, 14 September.
Cyria is gearing up for an energetic live performance at the show. “All I can say is that I always go all out. My performance will not disappoint,” she said. This will be the second time that Cyria performs at this festival.
According to Cyria, the event has grown significantly over the years, firmly placing the province on the entertainment map. She expressed gratitude for the love she has received from locals, even though her fan base extends across the country. “Even people who do not understand Tshivenda like my music, and I am grateful for that,” she said.
She added that her music promotes respect and understanding across all cultures. “I am very excited about performing at this festival. My fans will enjoy only the best music,” she promised.
The event spokesperson, Mr Divhambele Mbalavhali, assured music lovers that this year’s festival will be the best ever, with top-notch performances from all the artists.
Other well-known artists set to grace the stage include the legendary Benny Mayengani, DJ Jones, Oskido, Lwah Nkulu, Vusi Mahlasela, Zozo, Colbert Mukwevho, Khakhathi, and many more.
A Gospel Festival will precede the Heritage Festival, taking place on 13 September at Agapé City in Hamangilasi. Artists performing at the Gospel Festival include Benjamin Dube, Takie Ndou, Naphy M, Newie, Maru Rahulani, and Rofhiwa Manyaga.
Mbalavhali also warned against purchasing tickets on the black market as those holding such tickets will not be allowed entry.
Festival tickets cost R240 per person and cover both the Gospel and Heritage Festivals.
