Chris Bang's music strikes a deep cord with his fans

R&B and Afro-pop singer Livhuwani Christopher Lambani (29), popularly known as Chris Bang, has left fans mesmerized with his fourth EP titled “Mbilu” (Heart). Since its release on 15 July, the nine-song EP has quickly become the topic of conversation, and for all the right reasons.

Chris Bang has poured his soul into each track, ensuring that every beat, lyric, and melody resonates deeply with his fans. On the EP, he features artists such as Romeo ThaGreatwhite, Mu Nwali, and JR Player. Two months ago, he gave fans a glimpse of what was to come with the opening track of the EP titled “Mbilu,” leaving them eagerly anticipating more.

“The EP contains 13 songs, with ‘Adi Gede,’ ‘Ahuna,’ and ‘Arifarane’ as some of the most popular songs on the EP,” he said. He expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming response, stating that it proved that his music struck a deep chord with listeners from all walks of life. “I am grateful to my fans for this massive support, and within just a week of its release, the EP has already reached 26,971 plays on Spotify alone. It’s gaining traction quickly compared to my previous EP,” he said.

In 2019, Chris Bang earned a nomination for Best Newcomer at the Tshivenda Music Awards for his EP “Maduvha Extended,” which enjoyed immense popularity on the streets and received airplay on various radio stations.
