Eight teams in Nzhelele tournament

 

The Nzhelele Top 8 soccer tournament, sponsored by the NJM Foundation, will be held on Saturday and Sunday at Rabali Stadium.

The tournament features eight teams from around Nzhelele and serves as an ideal platform for talented soccer players to showcase their skills. Mr Lucky Tshilimandila, the tournament coordinator, has urged local teams playing in higher leagues to come and scout for players.

The winner of the competition will receive R15,000, a soccer kit, a trophy, and gold medals, while the runners-up will take home R7,500, a soccer kit, and silver medals. The teams that finish in third and fourth place will each receive R2,000. Additionally, there will be prizes for the best individual performers.

The teams participating in the tournament are: Matanda Rockers, Chipolopolo FC, Maelula United Brothers, Rabali Pull Together, Tshituni Hot Spurs, Shanza Continentals, Khalavha Napoli, and Tshivhidulu Hungry Lions.

Maelula Tshifhire Day to celebrate 40 years of cultural promotion

The Maelula Tshifhire Traditional Dance Group will celebrate its 40th anniversary on Saturday, 21 September. The group, established in 1984, aims to promote the tshigombela, malende, and matangwa dances.
