Mubva All Stars emerge as champs

Mubva All Stars emerged as the champions of the Shakira Birthday Soccer Tournament after defeating their rivals, Ravele Highlanders, 6-5 in a penalty shootout on Sunday. The match had ended in a 1-1 draw, necessitating the shootout to determine the winner.

Highlanders were the dominant side from the start in terms of ball possession, putting significant pressure on the Stars' defence for most of the match.

The first half was marked by dangerous play from the Stars' players, leading the referee to issue several yellow cards in quick succession to calm the situation.

Stars opened the scoring when their striker, Khathutshelo Rambuda, outmanoeuvred his opponents and delivered a well-placed pass to Clement Mabasa, who scored easily. The half-time score was 1-0 in favour of Stars.

In the second half, Highlanders increased the pressure on their opponents, aided by the Stars' strikers' inability to find the back of the net.

Highlanders introduced Ntshavheni Liremi and Omphulusa Muswadzi, which changed the dynamics of the match. Highlanders' equaliser came late in the game, courtesy of Vhutshilo Tshifularo.
