Zanele Zitha gets crowned as new Miss Limpopo Heritage Queen

Local young beauty queen Zanele Zitha was crowned Miss Limpopo Heritage Queen, while Mutshidzi Mulovhedzi took home the title of Miss Limpopo Heritage Teen. The crowning took place at the Thohoyandou Town Hall on Sunday, 22 September, during the Miss Limpopo Heritage pageant, hosted by the Tshilande Foundation.

Mutshidzi Mulovhedzi, from Muledane near Thohoyandou, mentioned afterwards that the competition for the title had been tough, just like the journey leading up to the pageant. “It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it,” she said. “This pageant helped me gain confidence, connect with others, and step out of my comfort zone. I’m proud to have represented Vha-Venda culture and brought the crown home,” she added.

For Mutshidzi, winning is just the beginning. She is committed to using her title to serve her community. “I want to help children in need by providing sanitary pads for girls and school shoes for boys. No child should miss school because they lack these basics,” she said.

Zanele Zitha, the newly crowned Miss Limpopo Heritage Queen, views modelling as an opportunity to give back and make a difference. “For me, the crown isn’t just a symbol of victory; it comes with responsibilities,” she said. “It takes courage and intelligence to be a role model, and I’m ready to use my platform to make a real impact in the community.”

Zanele emphasised that modelling was about more than beauty. “It’s a chance to grow personally while contributing to both the industry and society. The crown gives me a platform to lead and inspire others,” she explained.
