The Living Gospel World Mission Church's fundraiser a resounding success

The Living Gospel World Mission Church at Hamakhuvha Tshilivho hosted a highly successful fundraising gala dinner on Friday, 20 September. The event aimed to raise funds for the construction of a new, state-of-the-art church.

Among the distinguished guests were the mayor of Thulamela, Sarah Rambuda, pastors from various regional churches, and musicians, all joining the congregation and the church’s president, Pastor Robert Kharivhe, to support the initiative.

The vision for the new church was originally conceived by the late founder of the church, Pastor Dr MP Ragimana. He shared his dream with the congregation, the late Pastor Khorommbi, and others during his missionary work. Pastor Ragimana had a long history of church building, having constructed numerous churches for the Apostolic Faith Mission, where he was a leader, and later internationally for The Living Gospel World Mission.

This legacy continues under Pastor Kharivhe, who has been instrumental in establishing churches across Africa and India. The ongoing project is supported by members and non-members alike, who contribute voluntarily, based on their spiritual convictions and personal blessings.

During the dinner, Mayor Rambuda presented Pastor Kharivhe with the long-awaited approved building plans for the new church. The approval process had taken over a year. Rambuda praised the church for adhering to all necessary procedures and expressed her excitement for the project, noting that it aligns with the municipality’s Vision 2030 to transform Thulamela into a city.

Pastor Kharivhe shared an artist’s impression of the new church building with the guests. The design features a ground floor and two upper floors, capable of accommodating more than 7,000 congregants upon completion.

In his address, Pastor Kharivhe expressed deep gratitude to those who have supported the vision. He acknowledged the engineers and professionals who volunteered their services, as well as those who contributed by decorating the hall, preparing meals, and entertaining guests—all at no cost to the church. He extended special thanks to the structural engineer, project leader, and others who have played significant roles in advancing the project.
