The Fakatsimbi Social Foundation launched the inaugural Fakatsimbi Top 4 Soccer Tournament on Saturday, 19 October, at Polvidy Lifestyle Pub in Siloam, Nzhelele.

Phumudzo Mulafhi, the foundation's chairperson, said the tournament aimed to shift the focus of young people to sport this December. “We want young people to spend New Year’s Eve playing sports and staying active, rather than engaging in negative behaviour," said Mulafhi.

The tournament is set to take place on 31 December at the Siloam XI Bullets Ground, kicking off with a clash between local favourites Siloam XI Bullets and their fierce rivals, Tshirenzheni Peace Makers. The second match will see the fiery speed of Tshithuthuni Remember My Promise take on the relentless boys from Tswime FC.

Teams will be fully equipped with soccer kits, balls, and gear. The champions will receive a grand prize of R10,000, a prestigious trophy, and 25 gold medals. The runner-up will take home R7,500 and silver medals, while each semi-finalist will receive R2,500.
