Lots of action in next round of ABC Motsepe clashes

This weekend will be a busy one for the teams affiliated with the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League. One match will be played on Friday afternoon, while the remaining fixtures are scheduled for Saturday afternoon.

After playing two consecutive home matches, Madridtas FC will be on the road this Saturday. They will undertake a journey to face Mpheni Home Defenders at the Mpheni Grounds. Despite currently lying in the second position on the log standings, beating Madridtas will not be a walk in the park for Home Defenders. Madridtas has been in top form of late, having collected six points in their last two matches. They rose to the occasion by beating Vondwe XI Bullets 1-0 at the Tshifudi Stadium two weeks ago and crushed Musina United 3-0 at the same venue last Saturday. Madridtas jumped from the eighth to the fourth position with these two victories.

Musina United will host United Artists at the Musina Rugby Stadium. Both teams are in a similar situation, still looking to register a victory this season. United is languishing at the bottom of the log, while Artists are perched in the second-last spot. The Artists’ playmakers, Ndamulelo Mathoni, Sedzani Ndadza, and Ndivhaleni Manenzhe, could cause havoc in United’s danger area if not tightly marked. Musina United and United Artists have each managed to deposit one point into their league account so far.

Munaca FC will take on Giyani Happy Boys at the Makhado Show Grounds. The pace setters, Emmanuel FC, will face Winners Park FC at the Giyani Stadium. Vondwe XI Bullets will visit Maruleng Celtic at the Drakensberg Stadium outside Phalaborwa. Other fixtures include Mighty FC vs. Ditlou FC, City Motors vs. The Dolphins FC, and Tzaneen United vs. Mokopane PJ Stars.
