Top-32 round of Lumveleni starts

The Ngudza Grounds will be buzzing with activity this weekend as the last batch of the top-32 matches of the Lumveleni Soccer Tournament takes centre stage. Four matches are scheduled to be played each day from Friday to Sunday.

The action kicks off on Friday with a match between Mavhola Newcastle and Manamani Blue Birds at 09:30, followed by Khubvi Peace Makers taking on Manamani FC in the second fixture. Ngwenani Young Chiefs will face Matondoni Sweepers in what promises to be an intense battle, with Sweepers known for causing upsets against stronger opponents. Young Chiefs come into the match on a high after defeating Napoli FC 1-0 at the Ngwenani Grounds last Saturday. The day concludes with a match between Tshimuthe FC and Matatshe FC, with Tshimuthe boasting an impressive record of having lost only one of their seven league matches played to date.

Saturday’s action begins with Mukumbani Shooting Stars and Marula XI taking the field in the morning, followed by the match between Dzingahe FC and Ngudza Young Vultures at 11:30. Matangari FC and Tshilapfene Arsenal will then test each other’s strength shortly after midday. The afternoon session features a clash between Mukula Young Santos and Duthuni Try Again, promising a thrilling encounter as both teams campaign in the same division. Fans can expect excitement and will be keenly watching key players such as Tshilisanani Phalanndwa and the team’s captain, Vhahangwele Tshifhango, for goals.
