Lots of action waits in second round of NTL Masakono KO

Following the opening matches of the NTL Mashamba Soccer Tournament, the round-of-16 matches will be played at the Mashamba Post Office Grounds this coming weekend. Four matches will be played on Saturday, with the same number of matches scheduled for Sunday.

Mashau Pull Together will play against Shayandima Dynamos in the opening match on Saturday. Rams Football Academy will meet Benfica United, while Koki FC and Peace Makers will test each other in the other fixture. The last match will be between Muwaweni Lucky Stars and Madadzhi Eversmiling FC.

Sunday will see Mukondeni Shooting Stars rub shoulders with the winner of the match between Mukondeni Young Chiefs and SDA Ya Limpopo FC. The organising committee was yet to announce the winner between Young Chiefs and SDA Ya Limpopo at the time of our going to print. This was because the opening game between the two teams was being played under protest, with the reason for the protest still to be determined.

Chavani United and Mashamba Soccer Academy (the defending champions) will test each other’s strength in the second fixture, which is scheduled to start at 11:00. Mashamba Soccer Academy are the defending champions.

ABC FC are gearing up for a tough game against Bokisi Scientists. The day’s programme will be wrapped up by the Masakona derby between Masakona Young Tigers and Masakona Real Citizens. The semi-finals and final matches are scheduled to be played at the same venue on Sunday, 16 June.
