Maindis Ladies are away to collect more points

After collecting the maximum league points at the expense of the University of Johannesburg FC, whom they had crushed 3-1 at the Giyani Stadium last Saturday, Maindis Ladies are geared to deposit more significant points into their league account this weekend. They will play against Tsunami Queens in their Hollywoodbets Super League match at the Goble Park Stadium in Bethlehem, Free State, on Saturday afternoon.

Although this will be an away fixture for them, indications are that Tsunami Queens will be lucky if they manage to hold Maindis to a draw. Maindis managed to win three of the six league matches they have played to date. They are lying in the ninth position with nine points, while Tsunami Queens are still to win a league match so far.

The defenders of Tsunami Queens must keep an eye on the strikers of Maindis, Molepo Rapatsa Tebogo Mnisi and Tswarelo Digaota, or else they will concede an avalanche of goals.

Coal City Wizards will travel to Cape Town. They will fight for league points against City Lads at the Parow Park Stadium outside Cape Town. Bloemfontein Celtic will enjoy the home-ground advantage in their match against Richmond United, which will be played at the Dr Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein. Celtic are still fresh from a 5-2 victory over Thunderbirds Ladies. Richmond United are also sharpened to kill after beating Tsunami Queens 5-1 at the Galeshewe Stadium in Kimberly last Saturday.

Thunderbirds Ladies will host Mamelodi Sundowns at the Tsakane Stadium in Johannesburg. TUT Football Club will take on JVW FC at the TUT Campus Stadium. University of Johannesburg and Golden Ladies will test each other’s strength at the UJ Campus Stadium. First Touch FC will visit the University of Western Cape FC at the UWC Campus Stadium.

The only match that will be played on Sunday will be between Vasco da Gama FC and Durban Ladies at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town. The fixtures for next Wednesday, 1 June, are Durban Ladies vs University of Johannesburg, Maindis Ladies vs Richmond United, Golden Ladies vs Tsunami Queens, First Touch FC vs TUT Football Club and Mamelodi Sundowns vs Bloemfontein Celtic.
