Quarter-finals of James Rasimphi Games

 

The two quarter-final matches of the James Rasimphi Summer Games will be played at the Masia grounds this weekend.

On Saturday, Tshinavhe FC will meet last year’s champions, Mpheni Home Defenders, at 15:00. The coach of Home Defenders, Mr Vhutshilo Phuravhathu, is very confident and impressed with his team’s performances.

He said that their preparations were well underway, “and my boys are looking forward to this challenge”.

On Sunday, Mashamba Soccer Academy will face SMSA FC at 15:00. The manager of Academy, Ms Mercy Rambau, acknowledged that they had learnt from their previous game and would have a different approach.

She stated that the team had been training hard for the past weeks. When asked about their secret weapons, Rambau said that all the players were sharp and ready for action.

The champions will receive R8 000, a floating trophy, soccer kit, and gold medals, while the second-placed team will receive R3 500, a soccer kit, and silver medals. The teams in third and fourth position will receive R2 000 and R1 500 respectively, and soccer kits.
