Madridtas and Academy in ABC clash

The fight for promotion and to avoid relegation at the end of the season will continue among the teams affiliated with the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League this weekend.

Only one match will be played tomorrow, while the rest will be staged at various places throughout the province on Sunday afternoon.

Madridtas FC will be the only Vhembe District side to play at home, while the other three, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila, Mikhado FC and Joe Maweja, will be travellers. Madridtas will host Polokwane Academy at the Tshifudi Stadium on Sunday.

The spirit is high in the Madridtas camp after collecting the maximum points away from home last weekend. They beat Ditlou FC 2-0 at the Jane Furse Stadium in Sekhukhune on Saturday. On the other hand, Polokwane Academy are also sharpened to kill after beating Great North FC 2-0 at the Polokwane Rugby Fields last Saturday.

It remains to be seen whether the striking force of Academy will have the power to penetrate the defence of Madridtas, which is marshalled by Sharlen Munyamela, Maduvha Mudologi, Lutendo Mulaudzi and Nndwakhulu Dzaga.

Mighty FC will host Ditlou FC at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane. Molemole Academy will host Joe Maweja at the Polokwane Rugby Fields, and Boyne Tigers will host Magezi FC at the Boyne Stadium.

The pace setters, Ndengeza FC, will travel to Polokwane for their fixture against The Dolphins at the Ben Serake Stadium. The newly promoted Baroka FC will have a mountain to climb when they pay a visit to Polokwane United at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium. Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila will play against Giyani Hotspurs at the Giyani Stadium. The match between Great North FC and Mikhado FC will be played at the Seshego Stadium.
