Benny’s Care get slapped with a fine

 

Several stiff fines were imposed on clubs competing in the Safa Vhembe Hollywoodbets League during the league's disciplinary-committee meeting held last Thursday.

Benny’s Care were found guilty of abandoning their match against Muraleni United Brothers, resulting in an assault of match officials, and a fine of R6,000 was imposed on them. United Brothers were awarded the three league points. Benny’s Care were fined R10,000 for a similar offence when they played against Daniel Mubva FC. Benny’s Care's coach, Mbishi Mokoena, was suspended for the whole season, and Daniel Mubva FC were awarded the league points. The total fine for Benny’s Care is R16,000, which must be paid within 30 days.

Tshimbupfe Disco Stars were found guilty of assaulting a match official during their match against Hanani Home Fighters, and they were also fined for stopping the game when the supporters of Stars threatened the referee. They were fined R9,000 and forfeited league points to their opponents.

Phadzima KSP Young Stars were fined R9,000 for assaulting the opposing team’s goalkeeper in their match against Maelula United Brothers and for failing to provide adequate security during their home match.

Muraluwe Shining Stars failed to provide a soccer kit during their league match against Tshivhongweni Mighty Bucks, and they forfeited the league points to Stars. A fine of R3,000 was imposed on them.

Tshivhongweni Mighty Bucks were also fined R3,000 for not marking the grounds properly in their match against Muraluwe Shining Stars. They forfeited three points to Mighty Bucks.

The secretary of Safa Vhembe, Mr Sam Matodzi, said that they would resolve all outstanding cases before the league concluded. He is still appealing to all teams to follow the rules and regulations of the league if they do not want to face disciplinary hearings.
