United Artists up against Mpheni Defenders in Motsepe clash

The battle for promotion and to avoid relegation in the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League will continue this weekend, with three matches scheduled for Friday afternoon and the remaining fixtures on Saturday afternoon.

The Makhuvha Stadium is expected to be packed on Saturday for the much-anticipated Vhembe derby between United Artists and Mpheni Defenders. The game holds significance for multiple reasons. Mpheni Defenders must secure a victory to maintain their title hopes, leading the pack with 14 points, three ahead of Emmanuel FC.

For United Artists, anything other than a win will harm their standing further. Artists currently sit second from the bottom of the log with two points, still awaiting their first victory.

Vondwe XI Bullets and Munaca FC will vie for league points at the Tshifudi Stadium. Bullets are recovering from a 0-1 defeat suffered at the hands of Maruleng Celtic last Saturday.

Madridtas FC are prepared to cause an upset when they host Emmanuel FC at the Tshifudi Stadium. Giyani Happy Boys will host Winners Park FC at the Xikukwani Stadium outside Giyani. Maruleng Celtic will face Musina United at the Drakensberg Stadium outside Phalaborwa. Other fixtures include Mokopane PJ Stars vs. City Motors, Ditlou FC vs. The Dolphins FC, and Nkowankowa Continentals vs. Tzaneen United.
