Molepo Rapatsa of Maindis will watch tomorrow’s game from the bench after seeing red in their game against Shayandima Morning Stars last Saturday.

Chippas and Sisters in Sasol clash

With the Sasol Women’s League programme coming to an end in a few weeks’ time, the fight for promotion and to escape relegation at the end of the season will continue this weekend.

While other teams will be fighting with the primary aim of gaining promotion to the Premier League, the situation will be different for one of the Vhembe-based sides, Chippas United Ladies FC.

Chippas United Ladies must collect the maximum points from the match to enhance their chances of escaping the relegation axe at the end of the season. They are currently perched down in the relegation zone on the league log. Whether or not the defenders of Sisters have enough power to stop the Chippas goal poachers in Maggie Mukhuwana, Salome Nndwa and Nyiko Mafanele remains to be seen.

Samba Girls will travel to Polokwane to honour their fixture against Maindis Ladies at the Capricorn FET College grounds. Maindis must not underestimate Samba Girls or else they will be shocked to the core. Failure to collect the maximum points against Samba Girls will weaken Maindis’ chances to win the league title.

Maindis will be without their playmaker, Molepo Rapatsa, tomorrow. She was given her marching orders in their game against Shayandima Morning Stars at the Guvhukuvhu grounds last Saturday.

The match not to be missed will be between the pace setters, First Touch Academy, and Shayandima Morning Stars. Morning Stars are in the third spot. The Stars’ strikers, Dolly Nkuna, Munei Nemuramba and Nthabiseng Matswi, are expected to keep the defenders of Academy running from the onset.

The University of Limpopo will host Tshandama Young Stars at the Oscar Mpheta Stadium in Turfloop and the Re Tla Dira Ladies will fight with Moria Sweepers at the Moria grounds.

The other fixtures are: Mandebele Happy Fighters vs Rea Mighty Ladies, Kanatla Ladies vs Seven Stars and Mphanama Ladies vs Botlokwa Ladies.
