The office of the Premier in Limpopo has appointed Mr Ndavhe Ramakuela as the new provincial head of communication services with effect from 2 August 2021.

According to Limpopo Premier Chupu Mathabatha’s spokesperson, Mr Willy Mosoma, Ramakuela was the former acting chief executive officer (CEO) and chief marketing officer of the Limpopo Tourism Agency (LTA) prior to his appointment as the Limpopo provincial government spokesperson.

“Ramakuela is a seasoned communicator and marketer with over two decades of experience within the public sector. He also applied his skills in state-owned entities, local government and now heading provincial communication. He is a passionate writer and has great understanding of how communication harnesses government’s relations with the public it serves,” Mosoma said.

Ramakuela is a graduate of the University of Limpopo, where he spent his formative years as student, lecturer and later as deputy director responsible for publications. With the advent of the new local government, he joined Capricorn District Municipality where he was responsible for stakeholder relations and communications.

In addition, Ramakuela is famously known for his role as the host city representative for the City of Polokwane during the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

“We are very excited to have a person of Ramakuela’s in-depth knowledge as our new head of communications in Limpopo. We welcome him to our province as he starts his new role today, 2 August 2021, and wish him good luck,” said Premier Mathabatha.

In an interview with Limpopo Mirror, Ramakuela promised to work to the best of his abilities and raise the standards of Limpopo government communications to yet a higher level. “This has always been the ideal place to work, coordinating communication work of the province at the highest level. I look forward to making greater input into how the province is viewed and interacts with the public. We have a team that should turn this province around,” he said proudly.

Musina Mayor Mihloti Muhlophe congratulated Ramakuela on his appointment. Ramakuela hails from Muswodi-Dipeni Village in Ha-Rammbuda, which falls under the Musina Municipality.
