Ndivhuho Malisha is one smiley girl who possesses the ability to keep thousands of listeners glued to their radios as she mesmerises them with her velvety voice on Makhado FM.
Ndivhuho is quick to tell that she fell in love with radio at a young age, while she was growing up at Mavhunga Gondeni village in the Nzhelele area.
“I had always known that I would end up in the media and entertainment industry, and I had worked hard to realise my dream,” she said. “I had an aptitude for acting and writing, which I had noticed while I was attending Patrick Ramaano Secondary School.”
She studied media studies at Jeppe College in Johannesburg and joined Kundani Media Training in Louis Trichardt in 2016. “I fell in love with radio at Kundani, where I was part of the media team under the tutelage of Mr Maurice Nemaname,” she said.
In 2017, Ndivhuho left Kundani and joined Nzhelele FM, where she presented a sports programme on weekdays. “I gained a lot of experience at the station and I loved the off-air company of fellow presenters who all exuded laughter and joy.”
However, she felt that she needed a change in her life and career, but without moving out of the career stream. She auditioned for a spot at Makhado FM, and she was accepted. She currently presents Romantic Breeze at 21:00-00:00 on Monday to Thursday.
“I joined Makhado FM in 2018 when they were looking for new talent, and I got the opportunity as a sports presenter,” she said. “It was lovely doing sports updates in the Morning Drive show between 06:00 and 09:00,” she said.
She enjoys being at Makhado FM and interacting with listeners. “It's good and fun being a presenter, but what listeners don't know is that, once I am on the air, time does matter. I have to put all my personal problems aside and focus on entertaining my listeners. Meanwhile, I have to keep myself up to date with current affairs as well.”
“My advice to all other presenters is: Let's work hard towards reaching our dreams and always entertain our lovely listeners.”

Tshifhiwa Given Mukwevho was born in 1984 in Madombidzha village, not far from Louis Trichardt in the Limpopo Province. After submitting articles for roughly a year for Limpopo Mirror's youth supplement, Makoya, he started writing for the main newspaper. The revival of Tshivenda traditional music is not just the pipe dream of some idealists. Judging by the turnout during a meeting held in Thohoyandou this past weekend, this form of music is about to undergo a major revival.
Tshivenda traditional-music lovers are in for a treat with a collaboration between Tshivenda traditional music legend and veteran Solomon Mathase and popular poet and guitarist Dzomo la Venda. The two were spotted on Saturday, 20 April, at a function in Thohoyandou where they showcased their talents during a live performance.
During a Sunday sermon, Bishop Johannes Muofhe of the World Mission Church’s Fondwe branch prophesied that a musician, someone other than a member of the worship team, would emerge from the church.
With a successful roots-reggae album titled “Shandukani” to his name, Fhatuwani Richard Mashele is quickly becoming a household name in South African music. Better known as Jah Saint in music circles, Mashele believes that success does not come overnight and that one must work hard to earn it.
