Another home match for Young Stars

This weekend will be a busy one for the teams affiliated with the Limpopo Stream of the Sasol Women’s League. After their 0-2 defeat to Lacoste Morning Stars at the Tshandama Makhithani Grounds last Sunday, Tshandama Young Stars face another challenge this weekend as they host Sinthumulekutama FC at the same venue on Saturday.

Holding Sinthumulekutama to a draw will be no easy task for Young Stars as Sinthumulekutama are emerging as formidable opponents. Not only have they won both of their matches so far, but they have also scored a total of 10 goals. They began the new season with a 7-2 victory over Real Mighty Ladies and followed it up with a 3-1 win against Masakona Liberty Experience at the Sinthumule High School Grounds last Saturday.

Lacoste Morning Stars will enjoy home advantage as they host Sisters FC at the Shayandima School Grounds. Sisters must be wary of Stars’ goal-scoring threats, including Gumani “Mphela” Mulibana, Rinae Seneke, and Mpho Seneke, to avoid conceding a flurry of goals.

Rodadau FC will travel to Masakona village to compete for league points against Masakona Liberty Experience. Similar to Sinthumulekutama, Rodadau has yet to suffer a league defeat this season, following a 2-0 victory over Real Mighty Ladies at the Tshitungulwane Grounds outside Vuwani last Saturday.

Merwe United Ladies are gearing up for a challenging match against Real Mighty Ladies at the Merwe Grounds outside Malamulele. Merwe have yet to secure a league win this season, having lost 1-3 to Sisters FC in their opener and suffering a 0-1 defeat against Sealene Ladies at the Lulekani Stadium in Phalaborwa last Saturday.

The remaining fixtures include University of Limpopo vs Marumo Gallants, Golden Diamonds Ladies vs Kanatla Ladies, and Dinaledi Ladies vs Ramatlaohle Ladies.
