Black Leopards to play two friendlies

As part of their preparations for the new season, Black Leopards will play two rehearsal matches at the Thohoyandou Stadium tomorrow.

According to the club’s spokesperson, Mr Berry Ramunenyiwa, Lidoda Duvha will play against  two of the local ABC Motsepe League sides, Tshakhuma  Tsha Madzivhandila and Madridtas FC.

Their first match will be against Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila at 11:00. Their match against Madridtas will commence at 13:00.

Ramunenyiwa indicated that they wanted to put their new recruits to the test before the league activities start. According to him they have a total of 30 players and they want to ensure that all of them get a chance impress the technical team. The matches will be preceded by a press conference at the stadium.

He further indicated that the new players will be displayed during the press conference. Although he was reluctant to confirm it, Limpopo Mirror can reveal that one of the players who will be in Leopards’ colors this season is their former marksman, Mumuni Abubakar. Abubakar left the Thohoyandou side for the Absa Premiership side, Free State Stars, at the beginning of last season. Ramunenyiwa also confirmed the appointment of their former killer-striker, Mulondo Sikhwivhilu, as the team manager.

Black Leopards will play their first league match away from home. They will travel to Durban where they will battle it out for league points against Amazulu at the Princess Magogo Stadium next Saturday, 27 August.
