Lehlohonolo Motsiyo, a Top-20 finalist in the Miss South Africa Heritage pageant, believes she can inspire other models and encourage young people to live a balanced life. The 24-year-old beauty from Daniel Village outside Malamulele said in an interview that her passion for modelling went back to her high school years in 2020 but became more serious in 2023. Currently, she is pursuing a BA degree in crime and psychology at the University of Limpopo.

“If you are given a chance to be a role model, you should always take it, because you can influence a person's life in a positive light; that's what we do. I have to balance my studies with my normal life and even my career as a model,” she said. Lehlohonolo believes time management is essential to strike the balance between a healthy life and the achievement of your set goals.

Motsiyo is also actively involved in philanthropy, running an organisation that provides food parcels and clothing to underprivileged students at her university. She said her family was very supportive and had always believed in her abilities. Their encouragement and presence propelled her forward in her journey towards success, she said.
