Popular radio deejay and musician Diimiseni Mualusi, who goes by the stage name Dj Vhangani Muimbi wa Mapiano, never tires of coming up with fresh new vibes. The musician from Tshaulu, who also happens to be a presenter for a local online radio station, seems to be relentless. On 23 December, he released his second album, “Afrika Tshipembe”, which is highly in demand with his fans. Shortly after that, on 1 January, he caused more hype when he released his brand-new single, titled “Mavhulaise”.

Dj Vhangani, who owns a design business, started his music career in 2020 as a member of the local Salvation Army’s church choir. He released his first album, “Vhopholisa”, in 2022 and has since become a household name in rural Tshaulu and surrounding areas, leaving no event complete without his name in the lineup of performers.

His latest album boasts hits such as “Miya Muliche”, “Vhasidzana”, and “Tshiseyo Tsha Kholekhole”. These have proven to be favourites during live shows, such as the one held at the local Mutakalo Pharmacy store on Saturday, 13 January, where he dished up tracks from both his first and recent albums, leaving fans eating out of his hands.

About the single he said that evil people who encourage others to do bad things and then desert them when they get into trouble inspired him. “I am warning others not to befriend such people. They are like poison in the community and should be isolated,” he said.

Dj Vhangani thanks everyone who has helped him on this journey thus far. “Especially Dr Gumani Mbedzi, who ensured that my career reached this level,” he said.
