It's Home Defenders vs Ablex United on Saturday

The Louis Trichardt Show Grounds will be the best place to be on Saturday afternoon. That is where the much-awaited ABC Motsepe League match between Mpheni Home Defenders and Ablex United will take place.

Home Defenders and United have every reason to want to collect the maximum points at stake. Home Defenders must win the match at all costs to maintain their leadership on the log standings. They are currently leading the pack with 15 points from seven outings. Home Defenders are still fresh from a goalless draw against Mikhado FC at the same venue last Saturday.

On the other hand, a win for United will jack them up to the top on the log standings.  Ablex United are currently lying in the second position on the log with 13 points. United have a match in hand, something that makes them a good bet for the league championship.

Elsewhere, Mikhado FC will lock horns with their neighbours, Blackpool FC, at the Rabali Stadium in the Nzhelele Valley. Blackpool are fighting for survival. They are lying in the third position from the bottom of the log with five points.

Vondwe XI Bullets must beat Giyani Happy Boys if they are serious about escaping the relegation axe at the end of the season. They will meet at the Tshifudi Stadium. Bullets are languishing at the bottom of the log with three points. They had managed to win only one of the six matches that they had played to date.

Happy Boys stand an outside chance to win the league championship. They are five points behind the pace setters, Mpheni Home Defenders. Musina United will enjoy the home-ground advantage in their match against Munaca FC that will be played at the Lesley Manyathela Stadium. The other weekend fixtures are: Ditlou FC vs City Motors, Denilton Callies vs Eleven Fast Tigers, Tubatse United vs Mighty FC and The Dolphins FC vs Phinnet City FC.
