Tricky hurdle ahead for Musina United

After losing 0-2 to Mikhado FC in their ABC Motsepe League match at the Rabali Stadium last Saturday, Musina United have another steep mountain to climb this weekend. They will fight for league points against the newcomers, Vondwe XI Bullets, at the Lesley Manyathela Stadium in Musina on Saturday afternoon.

United must win the match at all costs if they are serious about escaping the relegation axe at the end of the season. They are still to register a win so far. United have managed to deposit only one point into their league account from the five matches they have played to date. A defeat against Bullets will push the team from the border town deep into the relegation quagmire.

Bullets also have every reason to try and collect the maximum points on Saturday. A win will push Bullets out of the relegation zone as they are now lying in the second-last position on the log.

Ablex United will take on Blackpool FC at the Louis Trichardt High School Grounds. Ablex did the unexpected last Saturday when they brutally walloped one of the title chasers, Emmanuel FC, 3-0, at the Giyani Stadium.

Emmanuel FC will play their second home match in a row. They will wrestle for league points with Mpheni Home Defenders at the Giyani Stadium. Giyani Happy Boys will host the defending champions, Mikhado FC, at the Xikukwani Stadium outside Giyani. Happy Boys are still in celebratory mood after beating Blackpool FC 1-0 at the Rabali Stadium last Saturday.

The other weekend fixtures are Ngwaabe City Motors vs Eleven Fast Tigers, Mighty FC Dennilton Callies, Magezi FC vs Ditlou FC and The Dolphins FC vs Tubatse United.
