Battle of the Stars to continue in Sasol Women’s League

After a break of two weeks, the teams affiliated to the Limpopo Stream of the Sasol Women’s League will resume their activities this weekend. Most of the matches will be played tomorrow, while only one will be seen on Sunday.

Whether Lacoste Morning Stars will continue from where they left off in their previous game against Merwe United Ladies is something that remains to be seen. Morning Stars brutally walloped Merwe United Ladies 6-0 at the Shayandima School Grounds two weeks ago. They will host Tshandama Young Stars at the same venue tomorrow.

Morning Stars are in a neck-to-neck situation with Chippas United Ladies. The Stars from Shayandima and Chippas are tied on 12 points each.  Chippas are on top of the log as they have scored more goals than Morning Stars.

Chippas will entertain Sisters FC at the Makhuvha Stadium in the only match that will be played on Sunday. Chippas are sharpened to kill after crushing Tshandama Young Stars 5-1 at the Tshandama Grounds in the Mutale area two weeks ago. Sisters must keep an eye on the Chippas’ scoring machines, Lethabo Sello and Khodani Ratshalingwa, or else they will be buried alive.

Merwe United Ladies are to host Real Mighty Ladies at the Merwe Stadium outside Malamulele. Botlokwa Ladies will travel to Phalaborwa. They will fight for league points against Sealane Ladies at the Lulekani Stadium.

FC 50 Stars Ladies will have a date with the University of Limpopo Ladies at the Sedibeng Stadium outside Polokwane. Kanatla Ladies will lock horns with Mandebele Happy Fighters at the Mahwelereng Stadium in Mokopane. The other fixtures are Copper Belts FC vs Skimzozo FC and Capricorn Sports Development vs Seven Stars Ladies.
