VFA and TRON in Vhembe derby

They lost 0-1 to Eleven Fast Tigers in their ABC Motsepe League match at the Tshifudi Stadium last Sunday, and now Venda Football Academy (VFA) are gearing up for another uphill battle against Tshakhuma RO Nandilani (TRON) at the same venue tomorrow afternoon.

Although they will be playing in front of their home crowd, collecting the maximum points will not be an easy task for VFA. TRON are in top form of late. They collected four points in their last two matches.

TRON are still fresh from a 2-1 victory over Ngwaabe City Motors at the Tshisaulu Mmbengeni Kone grounds. TRON jumped a step up on the log standings, following the victory. They are now in the 12th position after 22 matches.

TRON and VFA are two of the ABC Motsepe League teams that are coached by highly qualified mentors, Justice Mutileni (VFA) and Mashudu “Coolio” Ndou (TRON).

Rudzani Thabo, Unarine Kudzingana and Henley Mbedzi, VFA’s strikers, are geared to give the TRON’s defenders a tough time. On the other hand, VFA must keep an eye on Khuliso Phosiwa, Maboho Nevary and Ndivhuwo Makhado or else they will be humiliated.

VFA are in the fifth spot on the log with 33 points.

The pace setters, Mikhado FC, will travel to Polokwane where they will lock horns with Makotopong Brazilians at the Nchabiseko Stadium. Mikhado are four points ahead of the second-placed The Dolphins FC. Mikhado have a match in hand. Their outstanding match is against Eleven Fast Tigers.

Ablex United will visit Ngwaabe City Motors at the Jane Furse Stadium, while Giyani Happy Boys will host Ollesdal FC. Magezi FC will entertain Ndengeza FC at the Ha-Manamela Stadium outside Polokwane.

The other fixtures are: Ditlou FC vs Polokwane City Academy and Mighty FC vs Berachah Valley FC.
