VFA ready to tame Fast Tigers

The struggle for promotion and to avoid relegation will continue among the teams affiliated to the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League this weekend.

Two of the three Vhembe-based sides, Tshakhuma RO Nandilani (TRON) and Venda Football Academy (VFA), will play their weekend matches at home while Mikhado will be on the road.

Whether VFA will have enough strength to tame Eleven Fast Tigers is something that remains to be seen. VFA will host Tigers at the Tshifudi Stadium tomorrow afternoon. VFA are in shock, following their 0-1 defeat at the hands of Ditlou FC last Saturday. The defeat narrowed VFA’s chances to lift the league title trophy at the end of the season.

The Tshifudi-based side are now in the fourth position on the log. The Tigers’ defenders will have a mammoth task to stop the VFA’s goal poachers, Mosima Tswabutla, Rudzani Thabo and Unarine Kudzingana.

On the other hand, the spirit is high in the Tigers’ camp after they beat Ngwaabe City Motors 1-0 at the Jane Furse Stadium last Saturday.

TRON will host City Motors at the Tshisaulu Mmbengeni Kone grounds. TRON rose to the occasion and held Giyani Happy Boys to a goalless draw at the Xikukwani Stadium last weekend.

The combination of TRON’s strikers, Mukandangalwo Ramunana, Dakalo Nemakonde and Rinae Madzhuta, is poised to give the Motors defence a tough time.

The coach of TRON, Mr Mashudu “Coolio” Ndou, said he had finally found a winning combination.

Mikhado FC will travel to the Mafefe Stadium in the Sekhukhune area, where they will play against Berachah Valley. Mikhado will be without the team’s killer striker, Vutomi Ngomana. He is still on suspension after seeing red in their game against The Dolphins FC last Wednesday. The likes of Aluwani “Killer” Nedzamba, Ndivhuwo Thavhana and Khuthadzo Tshikulumela will be expected to do the job in the absence of Ngomana.

The other weekend fixtures are, Polokwane City Academy vs Magezi FC, Ndengeza FC vs Mighty FC, Ollesdal FC vs Makotopong Brazilians, Ablex United vs Giyani Happy Boys, The Dolphins FC vs Ditlou FC and Mighty FC vs Berachah Valley.
