Eight teams to partciparte in Alma Estilo tournament

 

Eight teams will participate in the second annual Alma Estilo knock-out competition at Mashamba later this month.

Eight teams will participate in the event: Mashamba Benfica FC, Mashamba Soccer Academy, Mukondeni Shooting Stars, Mashamba United Brothers, Mashamba Shinning Stars, Mashamba Record Breakers and Bush River.

The matches will be played on the 23rd and the finals on 24 December at the Mashamba grounds.

The winners will receive R5 000, gold medals and a floating trophy, the runners-up will receive R3 000 and silver medals and the team ending up in the third position will get R1 200 and bronze medals. The fourth prize will be 800.

Several individual achievers will also receive prizes at the end of the tournament.

The sponsor, Mr Imani Munyai, said that the donation clearly indicated that his company, Alma Estilo, wanted to serve members of the community to bring development to the area. He added that he believed in the expression that “charity begins at home”.

He also mentioned that the sponsorship would increase from one season to the next, depending on the financial position of the business. He also stated that sponsorships played a vital role in sports development, especially in rural areas.
