Teams ready for Murunwa TVET tournament

 

This week’s matches in the LTT Murunwa TVET College tournament will be played at the Ravele and Muraleni grounds tomorrow (Saturday).

The fixtures at Muraleni are: Muraleni Young Rebellion vs Ramantsha Lotavha FC at 09:00, Ravele Highlanders vs Muduluni Young Chiefs at11:00, Dave 16 FC vs Tshiozwi Mates at 13:00 and Matika FC vs Manyeleti FC at 15:00.

The matches at the Ravele grounds are Madombidzha Celtic vs Zamenkomste All Blacks at 09:00, Manavhela Ablex FC vs Tshikota Chelsea at 11:00, Magau Mighty Green vs Benny’s Care at 13:00 and Chris United vs Mira Black Pull at 15:00.

Mr Freddy Phathela, the secretary of the Makhado Local Football Association, identifying future stars at grassroots level was important. He pointed out that sport was the most effective way to draw the youth away from gangsterism, drugs and alcohol abuse. 

The champions will go home with R6 500, a soccer kit, a floating trophy and gold medals and the runners-up will get R5 000, soccer kit and silver medals. The team that will end in the third position will receive R4 000 and bronze medals, while the team that finishes in fourth position will receive R3 000.

The teams ending from the fifth to eight position will get R900 each.
