Davhana Balanganani hammer Arsenal

Davhana Balanganani FC hammered Matsila Arsenal 7-2 in the last 16 of the James Rasimphi Summer Games at Masia on Saturday.

Mr Pfano Bvumbi, coach of Matsila, believes that his players lacked confidence in front of the goalbox. “I thought we had a good second part of the first half. We looked quite convincing and settled. We were playing in a way that was showing that what we were doing at training is starting to become visible,” Bvumbi said. “Congratulations to Davhana Balanganani! It was quite a nice match, but sometimes very tactical.”

The head coach of Davhana Balanganani FC, Mr Rendani Ramulifho said that his players wanted to win the tournament. “We played with a good competitive team with a desire to win.”

Ramulifho explained that his substitutions late in the game had turned the match on its head. “We played with three behind in defence, and then we put one in the middle of the park, because the opponents had four attackers. We needed to minimise that threat.”

Davhana Balanganani’s scorers were Emmanuel Mutwanamba, Ndondeni Tsanwani (2), Munyai Netshedzo (2), Lufuno Munyai and Mulaifa Muvhango.

Mpfuneni Siphugu and Gravice Muduvhadzi scored Matsila Arsenal’s two goals.
