Bucs too strong for Skomboys

Gogobole Bucs registered a victory when they beat Ramantsha Skomboys 1-0 in a Limpopo the Fresh one league match on Sunday at Gogobole.

The result was not a true reflection of the game as Skomboys were out of touch for the better part of the first half. As if they were going to bury their opponents alive, Bucs took the game to Skomboys from the first whistle.

They threatened to score in the sixth minute, when their playmaker, Elelwani Marubini, forced his way through the defence of Skomboys and lost possession just before he could unleash from inside the box. The half-time score was still 0-0.

In the second half, Skomboys started to launch more attacks from the middle of the park. Skomboys’ right winger, Aubrey Chauke, should have scored in the 60^th minute. He unleashed aimlessly and the keeper of Bucs, Divhani Ralidzivha, palmed away the ball for a corner kick

Both sides effected some changes to their starting line-ups in the last half.

Ernest Tseisi of Bucs finished off Lufuno Ndadza’s square pass to score the only goal of the day. What followed thereafter was one-way traffic flow, with Skomboys at the receiving end.

Realizing that the opposition were down and out, Bucs initiated numerous dangerous moves from behind, with their midfielders dishing out some telling passes.
