Can Maindis stop Morning Stars?

Teams affiliated to the Limpopo Stream of the Sasol Women’s Soccer League will be engaged in their league activities this weekend. All matches will be played at the various places throughout the province tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon.

The match not to be missed will be between Shayandima Morning Stars and Maindis Ladies at the Shayandima School grounds. Morning Stars are still to lose a league match this season. Their most recent impressive result was a 2-0 victory over Samba Girls at the Tshikombani School grounds last Saturday.

Stars’ playmakers, Mmaleako Mojapelo, Maureen Moridi and Phuluso Mothelo, are expected to cause havoc in the danger area of Maindis.

After giving away league points to Shayandima Moring Stars last weekend, Samba Girls are geared to make a comeback tomorrow. They will host Real Mighty Ladies at the Tshikombani School grounds. Samba Girls will pin their hopes on Madembe Tshikumbu, Dolly Mnisi and Murembiwa “Mdu” Mugivhi for goals, while their defenders, Tondani Muhovha and Mpho Mithabi, are expected to keep their danger area clean.

Tshandama Young Stars will have a date with Botlokwa Ladies at the Tshandama grounds. Young Stars are still battling to find a winning combination. They donated points to their opponents in their last two matches. Chippas Ladies will travel to Nwamitwa village, where they will lock horns with Sisters FC, while the University of Limpopo will host FC 50 Stars Ladies at the Oscar Mpheta Stadium in Turfloop.

The match between Skimzozo FC and Kanatla Ladies will be played at the Marapong grounds in Lephalale. Seven Stars are waiting for Mandebele Happy Fighters and the Re Tla Dira Ladies are preparing themselves for a tough match against Moria Sweepers at the Dipitsi grounds outside Polokwane.
