Defenders hammer Arsenal

 

The current log leaders in Stream E of the MMK Administrators League, Mpheni Home Defenders, gave Madombidzha Arsenal a day to remember when they hammered them 4-1 at Madombidzha on Saturday.

The coach of Arsenal, Mr Owert Mammburu, said that the team must work hard on rectifying their mistakes as they prepared for their next match. “It is about us now and what we want to do. We have to accept the defeat because it is part of football,” he said.

The coach of Home Defenders, Mr Vhutshilo Phuravhathu, said that they had been focusing on playing attacking football. “I am really proud of the boys. They really worked hard as a team throughout the match. We knew what we had to do if we were to achieve something in this match. We are now looking forward to our upcoming match,” he said.

Defenders scored two goals in the first half, with Mashudu Muswadzi hitting the back of the net.

Thabo Matuba of Arsenal received a well-cooked pass from Lucky Buasi and scored his team's only goal. The last two goals of Defenders were scored by Lucky Munyai and Tshepiso Kgamedi.
