Final hurdles for MDC teams

The affiliates of the Multichoice Diski Challenge (MDC) will play their last league matches this weekend.

All the matches will be played tomorrow (Saturday).

Black Leopards will wrap up their league activities by rubbing shoulders with Orlando Pirates at the Orlando Stadium. Even if they manage to collect the maximum points against Pirates tomorrow, their position on the log will remain unchanged.

Lidoda Duvha are currently at the bottom of the log with only 7 points.  They registered only one victory to date, when they beat Highlands Park 4-1 in Thembisa early last month.

On the other hand, Pirates must win the match in order to finish their league programme in a respectable position on the log standings. The likes of Tshepang Moremedi, Donald Makgetlwa and Xolani Ndlovu of Leopards are expected to give the Pirates’ defenders a tough time.

Mamelodi Sundowns and Bidvest Wits will battle it out at the TUT Stadium in Pretoria. The other fixtures are: Kaizer Chiefs vs Bloemfontein Celtic, Highlands Park vs Maritzburg United, Free State Stars vs SuperSport United, Amazulu vs Baroka FC,  Chippa United vs Lamontville Golden Arrows and Cape Town City vs Polokwane City.
