TTM’s central defender, Tshepo Makgoga.

Can TTM bounce back against Kings?

For two reasons, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) must beat Real Kings when they meet in their NFD League match at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in Durban tomorrow afternoon.

The Tshakhuma side must collect the maximum points for the match in order to keep their title hopes alive and to restore their lost pride. Losing the match might see the team’s technical staff members, Sello Chokoe (head coach), David Mathebula and Lucky Nelukau (assistants), part ways with the club.

After losing their home match against Uthongathi FC last Saturday, the technical team was mandated to win their next two matches, failing which their relationship with the club will end abruptly.

TTM dropped to the fifth spot on the log after last Saturday’s defeat. TTM will be without their right back, Patrick Meso, when they face Real Kings tomorrow. Meso is still serving his three-match suspension after seeing red in their game against Richards Bay FC in Richards Bay on 22 December.

Happy Mashau is likely to be in Meso’s place in the team tomorrow. Should he be given the chance, Mashau is expected to form a good combination with Carlington Nyadombo, Lebohang Mabotja and Tshepo Makgoga at the back.

The other NFD matches are (home teams first): TS Sporting vs Royal Eagles; Maccabi vs Witbank Spurs; Mbombela United vs Cape Umoya United; Uthongathi FC vs Pretoria University; Ajax Cape Town vs Jomo Cosmos; Stellenbosch FC vs Richards Bay FC and Ubuntu Cape Town vs TS Galaxy.
