TTM and Richards Bay in NFD clash

Whether Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) will be able to rise to the occasion and make Richards Bay FC pay for the 1-2 defeat they suffered at the hands of Ajax Cape Town on Monday remains to be seen.

TTM will meet Richards Bay in their NFD League match at the Umhlatuze Sports Complex on Sunday afternoon.

The Tshakhuma side must win the match at all cost in order to keep their title hopes alive. TTM, or Vhadau Vha-Damani, are currently in the fourth spot on the log with 22 points, six behind the pace setters, Stellenbosch FC.

TTM’s dribbling wizard, Onyedikachi Ononogbu, is likely to watch the game from the grandstand on Sunday. He was taken off the pitch on a stretcher after sustaining a leg injury in their game against Ajax Cape Town at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Monday.

The likes of Edward Maqele, Wonderboy Makhubu and Vuyani Ntanga will do the job in case Ononogbu is not available for selection on Sunday. The TTM defenders, Lebohang Mabotja, Carlington Nyadombo and Tshepo Makgoga, must keep an eye on the Richards Bay playmakers, Harry Mngomezulu and Freddy Gumede.

The other NFD fixtures are Jomo Cosmos vs Witbank Spurs, Real Kings vs TS Sporting, TS Galaxy vs Uthongathi FC, Maccabi FC vs Stellenbosch FC, Royal Eagles vs Ubuntu Cape Town, Ajax Cape Town vs Mbombela United and Cape Umoya United vs University of Pretoria.
