Sinthumule/Kutama tournament attracts 32 teams

 

The annual Sinthumule/Kutama soccer challenge will start on Sunday and the final will be played on New Year’s Day.

The tournament also includes netball teams and U/15 soccer teams. The senior soccer tournament caters for 32 teams and the matches will take place between 23 December and 1 January.

The winner of the competition will receive R15 000, a floating trophy, a new soccer kit and gold medals, while the runners-up will receive R10 000, a soccer kit and silver medals. The team that will finish in third position will go home with R5 000, bronze medals and a soccer kit. The team ending fourth will receive R4 000 and a soccer kit.

The teams ending from fifth to eighth position will get R1 000 each, while teams ending from position 9 to 16 will receive R800 each. The 16 teams that lose in the first round will pocket R400 each.

The champions of the netball competition will get R1 500 and a netball kit, while the runners-up will get R1 000.

The finals will be played at Ravele grounds on 1 January 2019.

The fixtures for the first matches on Sunday are: At Madombidzha Celtic grounds: Ravele Highlanders vs Mailaskop Pull Together; Aston Villa vs Dangerous Stars; KML Falcons vs The Citizen and Madombidzha Celtic vs Runga Birds.

Manavhela grounds: Tornado FC vs Muraleni Rebellion; Magau United vs Tiger Birds; Tshikhwani Stone Breakers vs Tshiozwi Mates and Madodonga Happy Hearts vs Mavhela Black Aces.

Maebane grounds: Zamenkomste FC vs Tshaulu Academy; Baroka FC vs Matamela FC; Madombidzha United vs Mighty Green and Maebane United vs Muthuli FC.

Muraleni grounds: Bayern Muchini vs Madombidzha Chris United; MML vs Mira Blackpool; Gogobole Bucs vs Ramantsha Masters and Madombidzha Try Again vs Muraleni United Brothers.
