Battle of the Stars in Sasol League

It will be business as usual for the teams affiliated to the Limpopo Stream of the Sasol Women’s League this weekend.

Seven matches will be played at various venues throughout the province tomorrow afternoon, while only one will be played on Sunday.

The mother of all battles will be between Moria Sweepers and First Touch Academy and will be played at the Moria grounds on Sunday.

First Touch Academy are currently leading the pack, while Moria Sweepers are one of the hot contenders for the league title. The defenders of Sweepers must keep a watchful eye on the strikers of Academy, Rahab Mavhina and Rose Seroba.

Should they fail to collect the maximum points on Sunday, Moria Sweepers must forget about winning the league title.

Soccer lovers from the Nzhelele valley will be able to support their home team, Samba Girls. They will entertain Sisters FC at the Raliphaswa grounds tomorrow.

Shayandima Morning Stars will travel to Ga-Malekana village, where they will meet the Seven Stars Ladies. Morning Stars still stand an outside chance of winning the league title. It will be the players like Munei Nemuramba, Dolly Nkuna and Nthabiseng Matswi on whom Morning Stars will pin their hopes for goals.

Real Mighty Ladies will host Tshandama Young Stars at the Mabalane grounds, while the University of Limpopo FC and Re Tla Dira will meet at the Dipitsi grounds.

The Mphanama Ladies will enjoy the home-ground advantage in their match against Chippas United Ladies at the Mphanama grounds. Botlokwa Ladies will host Maindis Ladies at the Sefene High School grounds in Botlokwa, while the match between Mandebele Happy Fighters and Kanatla Ladies will be played at the Mandebele grounds in Zebediela.
