Young Stars and Chippas in Vhembe derby

 

Another busy weekend lies ahead for the teams affiliated to the Limpopo Stream of the Sasol Women’s League.

It remains to be seen whether Chippas United Ladies will make a comeback and start collecting league points tomorrow. They are still fresh from a 0-3 defeat at the hands of Botlokwa Ladies at the Sefene High School grounds last Saturday.

Chippas will undertake a journey to Tshandama village, where they will lock horns with Tshandama Young Stars in their Vhembe derby tomorrow. The managing director of Chippas, Mr Rabson Magoro, is adamant that his side will make a comeback and deposit full points into their league account at the expense of Young Stars tomorrow.

Chippas were in the process of registering three new Gauteng-based players at the time of our going to press.

Shayandima Morning Stars will entertain Kanatla Ladies at the Shayandima grounds. Morning Stars are one of the league title chasers. Samba Girls will see host Mandebele Happy Fighters at the Raliphaswa grounds in the Nzhelele Valley. Samba Girls’ performance was impressive in their last five matches, even though they are newcomers in the Sasol League.

The pace setters, Maindis Ladies, will travel to Ga-Malekana village in the Sekhukhune area where they will test their strength against Seven Stars Ladies. The Botlokwa Ladies will be meet the  University of Limpopo FC at the Oscar Mphethe Stadium.

Real Mighty Ladies will play in front of their home crowd. They will host Moria Sweepers at the Mabalane grounds in Tzaneen. Re Tla Dira Ladies will enjoy the home-ground advantage in their match against Mphanama Ladies at the Dipitsi grounds in Jane Furse.

Sisters FC must beat First Touch Academy in order to keep their title hopes alive. They will meet at the Nwamitwa grounds in Tzaneen in the only match that will be played on Sunday.
