Maweja and Madridtas in Vhembe derby

The teams affiliated to the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League have another busy weekend ahead. All matches will be played tomorrow afternoon.

The much-awaited Vhembe derby between Joe Maweja and Madridtas will be staged at the Louis Trichardt show grounds. Maweja are currently lying in the second-last position on the log with 22 points. On the other hand, Madridtas have nothing more than pride at stake in the match. Madridtas are perched in the ninth spot on the log with 35 points accumulated from 26 matches.

Maweja are still in shock, following their 0-2 defeat at the hands of Great North FC. It remains to be seen whether the defenders for Maweja will be able to stop Madridtas’s forwards, Mulisa Ramusia, Maanda Munyai and Langanani Matodzi.

Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) will be away to face Baroka FC at the Ngoana Mahube Stadium in Polokwane. TTM are one of the relegation candidates as they are lying in the third-last position on the log.

Mikhado FC will undertake a journey to Giyani, where they will fight for points against Ndengeza FC at the Giyani Stadium. Ndengeza’s performance has been deteriorating over time. They donated league points to the opponents in their last four matches.

Magezi FC and Polokwane Academy will meet at the TT Cholo Stadium in Polokwane.

The tailenders, Giyani Hotspurs, will travel to Polokwane for their match against Molemole Academy at the Polokwane Rugby Stadium. Boyne Young Tigers will host Polokwane United at the Boyne Stadium.

The log leaders, Dolphins FC, will have a date with Ditlou FC at the Jane Furse Stadium. Mighty FC and Great North will battle it out for league points at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
