Fixtures: Madridtas and Mikhado in Vhembe derby

A lot of soccer lovers are expected to be at the Tshifudi Stadium tomorrow afternoon. That is where the much-awaited ABC Motsepe League match between Mikhado FC and Madridtas will take place.

The fact that both teams are not safe when it comes to relegation is reason enough for the local soccer fanatics to expect a thriller. Madridtas are in the 13th position and Mikhado in the ninth spot. Madridtas lost 2-3 against Polokwane Academy last weekend, while Mikhado shared the spoils with Great North FC at the Rabali Stadium.

Mikhado’s fast forwards, Vutomi Ngomana, Ndamulelo Mugadi and Mukovhe Maliaga, will not find it easy against the Madridtas’ defenders, Maduvha Mudologi and Lutendo Mulaudzi.

Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila will be away to Polokwane where they will lock horns with Great North FC at the Seshego Stadium. Tshakhuma registered their first victory last weekend after selling their franchise to Musina United. They beat Giyani Hotspurs 2-1 at the Lesley Manyathela Stadium. Great North are one of the close contenders for the league title.

The other Vhembe-based side, Joe Maweja, will travel to Polokwane where they will test their strength against Boyne Young Tigers at the Boyne Stadium. Maweja must win the match to enhance their chances of moving out of the relegation zone. They are currently at the bottom of the log.

Mighty FC will pay a visit to Molemole Academy at the Polokwane Rugby Stadium, while Polokwane Academy will have a date with Ditlou FC at the Polokwane Rugby Fields. Giyani Hotspurs will host Baroka at the Giyani Stadium. Ndengeza FC will undertake a journey to Polokwane, where they will play against Polokwane United at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium. The Dolphins and Magezi FC will fight for league points at the Ben Serake Stadium in Bochum.

Mikhado’s midfielder-cum striker, Ndamulelo Mugadi.

Madridtas left back Maduvha Mudologi.
