Maweja and Magezi in Motsepe clash

After beating Ndengeza FC 3-2 in an ABC Motsepe League match last weekend, Joe Maweja are determined to get three more league points when they meet Magezi FC at the Louis Trichardt Rugby Stadium tomorrow (Saturday).

Maweja are still languishing at the bottom of the log with eight points from 16 matches. Magezi are on the safe side when it comes to relegation. They are lying somewhere in the middle of the 16-team league log. Maweja are still to lose a league match after Mr Alex Abureni took over as the new owner of the club last month.

A local musician, Makhadzi, will perform live before and during the half-time break.

In the other ABC Motsepe League matches that will also be played tomorrow, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila will travel to Boyne for their clash with Boyne Young Tigers. Tshakhuma are still fresh from a 2-0 victory over Molemole Academy at the Tshifulanani Stadium. Tshakhuma desperately need the points for the match to enhance their chances of moving out of the relegation zone. They are currently in the second-last position on the log.

Madridtas will play against Giyani Hotspurs at the Giyani Stadium. Madridtas will be without Lutendo Mulaudzi, who saw red in their game against Polokwane United last Saturday. Maduvha Mudologi, Langanani Matodzi and Gift Nemutandani will be expected to do the job while Mulaudzi serves his suspension.

Mikhado will play against The Dolphins at the Ben Serake Stadium in Bochum, while Great North FC and Ditlou FC will meet at the Seshego Stadium. The Polokwane derby between Polokwane United and Polokwane Academy will be staged at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium. In the last match of the weekend, Molomole Academy will host Baroka FC at the Polokwane Rugby Fields.
