Mikhado and Tigers in Motsepe clash

After a break of just over three weeks, the affiliates of the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League will be back in action this weekend.

Three of the four Vhembe-based teams, Mikhado FC, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila and Madridtas FC, will play their matches at home.

The ABC Motsepe League rookies, Mikhado FC, will entertain Boyne Young Tigers at the Rabali Stadium on Sunday.

Mikhado moved from the bottom of the log to the 13th position, following their outstanding performance in their last three matches. Mikhado started to collect league points after signing two experienced players, Lerato Chabangu and the former Black Leopards midfielder, Christopher Netshidzivhe, two months ago. A win in tomorrow’s match is likely to jack them up to the 10th spot on the log standings.

Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila will host Molemole Academy at the Tshifulanani Stadium, also on Sunday. Madzivhandila must win the match at all cost to move out of the relegation zone. They are currently lying in the second-last position on the log with 11 points accumulated from 14 matches.

Madridtas will host Polokwane United at the Tshifudi Stadium tomorrow. Should Madridtas continue from where they left off before going into the festive season recess, United will be lucky if by chance they manage to go back home with a point in hand. The defence of Madridtas, which is marshalled by Lutendo Mulaudzi, Maduvha Mudologi and Sharlen Munyamela, is expected to keep their danger area clean, while Maanda Munyai and Gift Nemutandani will make things happen in the middle of the park.

Magezi FC will travel to the Jane Furse Stadium in Sekhukhune for their match against Ditlou FC. Joe Maweja will pay a visit to Ndengeza FC at the Giyani Stadium and The Polokwane derby between Baroka FC and Mighty FC will be staged at the Ngoana Mahube Stadium.

Giyani Hotspurs will play against Great North FC at the Seshego Stadium, while Polokwane Academy will fight for league points with The Dolphins at the Polokwane Rugby Fields.
