Try Again crowned as Adicon champions.

Madombidzha Try Again were crowned as the champions of the Adicon Investment U/17 soccer challenge when they beat Benny’s Care 2-0 in the final match played at Tshiozwi on Sunday.

Benny’s took the game to their opponents from the onset, giving the defenders of Try Again no time to breathe. Thomas Funzani of Try Again was a marvel to watch and he performed spectacularly.

It took Try Again only 20 minutes to knock on the door of Benny’s. Their slender left flank, Ricky Nkosi, miskicked the ball within the box.

The game was seven minutes old when the hosts took the lead. Tshepiso Kgamedi dished a pre-cooked pass to Naledzani Mukondeleli, who moved three steps forward before unleashing a half volley.

Benny’s abused countless scoring opportunities in the opening minutes. Rodwell Manenzhe unleashed prematurely, instead of moving a few steps towards the keeper. The half-time score was 1-0 in favour of Try Again.

Mukhethwa Ndou of Benny’s should have equalised later in the match, but his shot was palmed away by the opponents’ keeper.
