Polokwane City aim for finals

After beating Orlando Pirates in the quarter-final of the Telkom Cup, Polokwane City are now set up to play against Bloemfontein Celtic at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday.

In the other semi-final clash, Bidvest Wits and Kaizer Chiefs will lock horns. Wits outclassed the Limpopo outfit, Baroka FC, 1-0 in the quarter-final. The semi-final will be played on Saturday at Bidvest Stadium.

Polokwane City is favoured by the draw, but the fact that they will be playing at home should not give them false hope, as the team they will be playing against are not easy to beat.

Vucy Ntima, the City spokesperson, said that Celtic would pay for the embarrassment they brought to the City camp when they crushed them in a league match. He further said that Celtic should ask Orlando Pirates if they wanted to know how dangerous City could be.

City striker Rodney Ramagalela says that his side wanted to win the Telkom Cup this time around, after the disappointment of previous years. Ramagalela added that his side would come out with guns blazing on Sunday as they looked to progress to the finals. “Celtic are a tough team, but this year we want to go one step further and win it,” said Ramagalela.
