TTM tops in Vhembe derby

Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) registered their first league victory by beating Madridtas FC 1-0 in their ABC Motsepe League match at the Tshifudi Stadium on Saturday.

Pfunzo “Shavy” Tshikotshi, Madridtas's bulldozer striker, could not live up to the fans’ expectations as the defenders didn’t give him any breathing space. Tshakhuma initiated several moves from the middle of the park in the first 15 minutes. Thabiso Maitsapo received a beautiful pass from Mulisa Luvhengo and tried his luck from the edge of box with a half volley. The keeper of Madridtas, Rudzani Mmbengeni, braved the shot and palmed the ball away for a corner kick.

The goal that earned Tshakhuma the three match points came in the 34th minute. Thabiso Maitsapo caught the keeper of Madridtas napping with a half volley. Madridtas then introduced Maanda Munyai, Gift Nemutandani and Thendo Mathobo for Zwonaka Netshitungulu, Idani Nelufule and Langanani Matodzi respectively. The move was not good enough to stop the visitors from Tshakhuma from knocking on their door.

Tshakhuma used all their substitution chances as well. They introduced Fhatuwani Mudau, Freddy Maina and Emmanuel Neswiswi and sacrificed Lindelani Mudau, Thabo Rahlaha and Rendani “Vorosi” Dzivhani.
