Can Ubuntu Cape Town stop TTM?

Another busy weekend waits for the teams affiliated to the NFD. Six matches will be played at various venues throughout the country tomorrow, and the remaining two on Sunday afternoon.

It remains to be seen whether Ubuntu Cape Town will be able to rise to the occasion and register their first victory at the expense of Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC (TTM) when they meet at the Thohoyandou Stadium tomorrow afternoon. While it will be a matter of life or death for Ubuntu, TTM must win the match in order to remain in contention for the league title.

Ubuntu are fighting for survival, as they are currently lying at the bottom of the log with five points in hand after nine outings. TTM mighty be lying in the ninth spot on the log, but they are only four points behind the pace setters, Highlands Park.

Cape Town's strikers, Sherwin Baily and Patrick Daniels, will not find it easy against TTM’s stoppers, Carlington Nyadombo, Teboho Kalake and Mohammed Khan. The combination of Aluwani “Killer” Nedzamba, Lifa Hlongwane, and Mpambaniso Monde at TTM’s forefront is likely to give the Ubuntu defence a headache from the onset.

Highlands Park will host Stellenbosch FC at the Makhulong Stadium in Thembisa. Highlands Park and Stellenbosch are in the first two places on the log. Black Leopards will undertake a journey to Vosloorus in Johannesburg where they will play against Jomo Cosmos on Sunday.

Mbombela United will travel to Richards Bay for their match against Richards Bay FC at the Umhlatuze Sports Complex.

Cape Town All Stars will host Real Kings at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town. Witbank Spurs and Royal Eagles will meet at the Puma Rugby Stadium in eMalahleni. Mthatha Bucks and Super Eagles will meet in Mthatha, while Uthongathi will test their strength against Pretoria University at the Absa Tuks Stadium in Pretoria.
